Camp Foley Leadership Program
The Leadership Program allows campers to make the most of their final summers at Foley!
- This program prepares campers for success at camp and in the real world
- Learn skills that apply to being a leader, attending college, employment, extracurricular activities, and living independently
When can I apply?
- Campers become eligible for the Leader-In-Training Program (LIT) when entering 9th grade. Apply here!
- Campers become eligible for the Counselor-In-Training Program (CIT) after at least 1 year in the LIT Program and are entering 11th grade in the fall. This program is only available during our 3-week sessions. Apply here!
- Please note you must be registered for camp to apply to each program
What Will We Do?
The leadership program is divided into three categories, each consecutive year of the Leadership Program builds and incorporates skills learned in past workshops.
Personal Growth
Skills to make you an independent and confident adult. Example classes include:
- Leadership Styles
- Management Skills
- Effective Communication
- Conflict Resolution
- Decision making
Life Skills
Hands on learning workshops where you will practice everyday skills that every adult should know. Example workshops include:
- Car Maintenance
- Home Cleaning and Maintenance
- Basic First Aid
- Finance & Budgeting
- Basic Tools and Lawn Care
- Meal Planning and Cooking
Professional Skills
Important lessons in how to become a successful young adult in a work or college setting. Example workshops include:
- Presentation Skills
- Job interview prep
- College Essay and Application tips
- Writing a Professional Email
- Resume and Cover Letter Writing
